I've wanted to scrap this picture for about a week and just couldn't find the right sketch for it. Sunday, Creative Scrappers posted this sketch and I knew, it was the ONE I wanted to use.

Close-up of my flowers, I made these using burlap, tulle and flat lace. It took me about 3 hours to get them how I "seen" them in my head! LOL! But, I LOVE how they turned out.

This is my grandson and he was just being his silly self. The red spot between his eyes is called a Hemangioma, and it has now faded. We always were asked what it was, because lots of people thought he had hit his head, so thought I would share with you what it is.

Echo Park A Boy's Life Collection

This is my Grandson, who "found" himself in the glass of the coffee table. He just jabbered away to his new friend.

I used ink to get the background square, I inked up my homemade mat (it's a piece of 12 x 12 cardboard with a plastic sleeve over it, works just as good as Tim's but it was only a few cents!)
I just rubbed my ink right onto the mat:

and then just spritzed it with some water. Once that was done, I just put my cardstock on top of it and then picked it straight up.

I hope you liked my little tutorial!! LOL! Just thought I would share how I made my ink background.

HOWDY ALL!

One of the challenges this month on the S-n-C Yahoo group is to make a Mini Album. I decided to make a Valentine one for my Mom and Dad who Winter in Texas and sent it to them from their Great-Grandkids.

First page, Angel girl is the oldest she got the first page. Abby The Princess thought she should have had first page cause her name starts with an A!! LOL!
AND I don't know how they did it, but unknowingly I have an ABCD! Abby, Braxton, Christina and Dominic!! TOO FUNNY!

Today I found this sketch over Artful Delight and decided it would work AWESOME for these 3 pictures of my Granddaughter Abby from back in 2006. She won the Baby Dumpling contest at our local Apple Festival. I was a PROUD Me-Ma, both of my Granddaughters have won this contest.

Here is my layout for day 2, I did get it done yesterday and posted in on the facebook group. I was just to busy with my taxes to post it here last night.

Taxes are done, for now, until Hubby gets last year's out of the attic so I can make sure I have everything listed that needs to be listed. He was suppose to do it this morning before he left for work and he forgot and I had to go to town to get my boys as their regular sitter wasn't available today. So, it me and my Bubba Braxton today! We will have to bake some cookies as the other 3 will be here after school! FUN FUN!

So here it is, again nothing fancy, but I made a page! LOL!

I am going to take my time today and HAVE FUN making my layout.

These are pictures I took of Our New Home from back in 2006! I have decided that I will work on my OLD pictures to hopefully get them DONE! LOL! But, it's only the 1st day, and that may change before the 29th! hehe
It's not real fancy, but I am trying to get our taxes done, so had to move papers out of my way so I could make my page for today! LOL!

They actually live less than 5 miles away, but my Daughter doesn't think it's Christmas if she isn't with her Momma! LOL! LOVE IT!

I only had 1 pic that I wanted to use, so I kept the elements the same just matted my picture and placed it on the scalloped rectangles.

HOWDY ALL!

I tried to figure out a word for sticking your tongue out! LOL! BLAH was what I came up with!
This layout is of my Grandson when we were trying to get him to walk. I think he was sticking his tongue out at ME, cause he would take a few steps then fall to the floor or grab onto the wall. You can see that layout HERE, in my previous post.

I saw the challenge over at The Studio Challenges Blog to use 5 pictures on a layout. I knew I could do that, so went in search of a sketch and found this one over at Nuts About Sketches:

These are pics of when my first grandson was learning to walk, he will be 5 in about a week! My Granddaughter and I were trying to get him to walk. He would take a few steps then sit down or grab the wall. I just LOVE the look of exasperation on my Granddaughters face in the bottom right picture.

Searchin' Our Hearts!

HOWDY ALL!

WOW! Did you see the challenge over at ScrapFIT? OH MY, I LOVE Pat Benatar, and her song Love is A Battlefield. I had to do some thinking to figure this one out! But, I still have some pics of our wedding back in 2009, so I looked at the lyrics and thought that "Searchin' Our Hearts" was PERFECT. We had been together for 11 years before we got married and believe me since this was my 3rd marriage I did a LOT of Searchin'. The prize for this challenge is an AWESOME Collection from Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits!! WOOHOO!

Then I saw the challenge over at Frosted Designs, which is to use only cardstock, NO PATTERN paper. OK I can do that! LOL! Did you see that the prize is TWO Paper Packs from Nikki Sivils!! Get Well and Sugar Cookie! AWESOME!

Well, then I needed a sketch to use, so I found this one over at My Sketch World I did flip it, though:
AND I found a new challenge blog Getting Scrappy Challenges, this week the challenge is ANYTHING goes. They are giving away a Yummy Puns Stamp Set by JoysLife.com.

LESS-Project #1

I started to revamp my blog yesterday and got IRRITATED with
Blogger so bear with me, I'll get it fixed in a day or so!

HOWDY ALL!

Today was the day I started my "LESS" in my home! We have a storage room in the basement that was TERRIBLE!! (my fault) It was one of those things that I just would go in and PUT stuff. I didn't keep it in any kind of shape and after living here for 4 1/2 years, it was BAD!! So, I wanted to SHOW you how bad it was:

These were the shelves on the right side this is where I store all my home canning goodies, but since we haven't had a garden for a few years, it's kinda empty:

This is behind the door, which is under the stairs, Camping stuff and all that paint and stuff on the shelves was here when we moved in. I told Hubby he had to deal with that if he wanted it gone! It will probably be there until I get tired of it being there! I forgot to take an after pic of this, but MOST of the stuff stayed, I just moved it all out so I could sweep the floor! OH, I did throw away the Wii boxes that were from 2010 Christmas!! OOPS!

HOWDY ALL!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! This year I have decided on a "WORD" to live by. That word will be:

LESS!

I hope in the New Year there will be a LOT LESS of me. (eating right and exercising should help)

I want to have LESS clutter and "stuff" in my house at the end of 2012. This will include making MORE layouts to USE UP some of my Scrapping Stuff. I have a goal of at least 200 layouts by the end of the year.

So those are my TOP TWO thing I hope to accomplish this year! I figure maybe just 2 things won't be so hard to accomplish! LOL!! WISH ME LUCK!!

I used the DCWV Christmas and Winter Stack. I just couldn't quit put a bow with these pics of my grandsons from last year at Christmas. So, I used an ornament that I fussy cut from one of the papers. The snowflakes and title were also cut from paper from the stack. The Bling is from my stash.

My Pink Stamper Challenges

HOWDY ALL!

My Pink Stamper had an AWESOME 12 Days of Christmas. I don't have any of her stamps but they are AWESOME! Each day of her 12 days she issued a challenge and I REALLY wanted to play along all 12 days, but unfortunately, my head cold and my TO DO list didn't let me spend much time in my scrappy room.

I did manage to get two of the challenges done and decided I would share them. The first challenge was to make a Christmas or Winter project that was NOT for the holidays and to use ANY Cricut Cartridge. I made this card for my cousin for her birthday in January:

I used the Jolly Holidays cartridge and on the inside it says "with Birthday wishes".

I also played along on day 4. The challenge that day was to create a Treat bag with a pink/green color scheme. I made this treat bag for one of the little girls that I babysit and filled it with all things girly! She LOVED it!
I used my Jolly Holidays cartridge and make this little girl to resemble the one I watch.

I am SO Sad that is all that I accomplished in my scrappy room the week before Christmas, but it was a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS around here and I have this week to play in my scrappy room.

Cooking With Cricut # 62

HOWDY ALL!

I played along with Cooking With Cricut for their Candles, Wreaths and Pine-cone and Challenge.

Here is my card:

I used Joys of the Season Cartridge. I cut 30 of the Holly out at 1 3/4", then cut each of the leaves off the stem. I then inked them all with Forest Moss Distress. LONG PROCESS!! LOL! I then started gluing them onto a circle frame to make my Wreath. I kept layering them until I got the look I wanted. I then used my Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge to cut 24 circles at 1/4". I added my Merry Christmas from Inkadinkadoo stamps and then put it on Echo Park Merry Christmas paper that I had used my CM Cutting System to get the Scalloped edge to the top of my card. As some of you may know I sometimes "SEE" things my own way! LOL! When I seen the challenge I just COULD NOT do a normal cut and use it, had to do it MY WAY!! hehe!!

I flipped the sketch and used papers from the Christmas & Winter Stack. Here is my take:

This is my Granddaughter Cricket from back in 2006.
I fussy cut the Journal spot and slid my paper behind it. I also matted my pics like the old time Polaroid . I journaled "Cookies for Santa". I also took the same piece of paper that I matted my pictures on and used a 1/4" circle punch to make all the little dots around the pics, here is my paper:

I hid my journalling in a little bag and taped it behind the striped paper. Can you see the little tag coming out on the top right hand corner? This is my oldest Granddaughter, Lil' Angel Cricket! I snapped this pic a couple weeks ago, she was deep in thought and I thought she looked just beautiful!

LMCB #60 Add Some Dimension

HOWDY ALL!

I have been MIA for awhile due some tummy issues and I just haven't felt good, but I must say that it feels AWESOME to be scrapping again!!

This week the Challenge over at Lasting Memories is to "Add Some Dimension". You can add dimension MANY ways: Buttons, Thickers, Chipboard, Ribbon, Brads and the list goes on.

I chose to use the DCWV Stack Challenge this month to make my layout and also added dimension by using buttons, which are my FAVE thing!

This picture is from this spring when my hubby was shaving off his winter beard and my granddaughter Abby had to watch. She IMMEDIATELY told him that he Looked Funny! LOL!

Under The Sea

I finally managed my first layout in awhile! I used pictures from our Trip to Mall of America last summer. We went to the Underwater Adventure Park and I got some Awesome pics of the sea life. Life's Little Challenges

HOWDY ALL!

WOW! I CANNOT believe that it has been over a month since I have posted! Even more that long since I have REALLY scrapped! YIKES! I have had some Tummy issues and haven't felt like doing much for WAY TO LONG!! I've had some tests and am feeling better, so I just hope I continue to improve as I have SO MISSED playing in my Scrappy Room!

I just had to play along with the Challenge over at Frosted Designs this week! Their challenge was to use "Fancy Trim". I have had a Composition Notebook sitting on my Scrap desk for MONTHS and I just couldn't decide what to do with it. I knew I wanted to use it for a way to keep track of online challenges. I have also had this AWESOME trim with buttons dangling from it, that I purchased over a year ago at Hobby Lobby. It was WAY TO EXPENSIVE, but I just had to have a half yard of it, and have been hoarding it since I purchased it. SO, this was the PERFECT time and thing to use it on.

So I wanted a title on it and decided on "Life's Little Challenges", which I made and cut using MTC. I write the challenges down and when they are due and if there is a sketch I also write down where I saved it on my computer. SO HAPPY with how it turned out.

So here it is:

I found this AWESOME Challenge site, Cher's Studio, from my friend Suzanne! This week the challenge was to make a Halloween tag. I used some old CM paper that I have had FOREVER and cut the files that I found in my MASSIVE folder of .svg files. Not sure where they came from.
I used pop-dots to give it some dimension. Here is a side view:

I have had this stamp for awhile it has stamped on the side:"19?? Mary Helen Gould" I can't tell the year. I thought he turned out pretty cute, I didn't add any sentiment so I can use it for anything.

This week the challenge over at Lasting Memories is SIMPLY YOU! HOW EASY is that? ... can be your style, you personally, something you love .. just "Simply You". I chose to do a layout with ME in it! WOW!!, that doesn't happen very often. So this is my style for this layout, because I have noticed my "style" changes with every layout, just depends on the pics.

I used this funny pic of my granddaughter Abby, who was MORE than ready for her Momma to leave her at her first day of pre-school, can't believe I haven't scrapped this yet. It was LAST year first day! LOL! She finally asked her Mom, when are you LEAVING?!! TOO FUNNY!!

My Glue Girl

I made this layout Saturday. I used pics of when my Granddaughter Abby was here and she was having the BEST time playing with my Glue Glider Pro! With her imagination I think it was many things, but am PROUD to say that she never once "glued" anything! LOL!
All supplies are from Cosmo Cricket Upcycle. The title, swirl and leaves were cut using MTC.

Road Trip

HOWDY ALL!

I got to play in my scrappy room today!! I made this layout:
This pic is of my cousin Heather and I when we took off for our first road trip together. We went to Beaver, OK for a National Scrapbook Day event!! We had LOADS of fun!!

My friend Sandi, sent me the map of Oklahoma and I fussy cut it out to add, and REALLY LOVE how this turned out! THANKS, Sandi!

I used the Road Trip file from Scrapping Bug Designs and am also linking up with the challenge over at The Paper Variety to use a travel theme.

Here is a close-up of my marker for Beaver, OK. I used a button with some bakers twine.

This was the first time I have cut one of the files that I purchased from The Scrapping Bug Designs and I must say they cut just AWESOME!! They are also having a contest on their facebook page, just upload a project made with one of their files and they are adding goodies and one lucky person is gonna WIN BIG!! Who or What INSPIRES You?

HOWDY ALL!

The challenge this week over at Lasting Memories is "Who or What INSPIRES You?". Of course, my answer is My Grandkids, so I made this layout from when we went camping last summer. They are coloring so I thought the title Grandkids Color My World was appropriate.
I used Bo Bunny Block Party. I also covered the star and heart chipboard with it and I am VERY Happy with how it turned out.

HOWDY ALL!

WOOHOO!! I actually made a card and it's for a challenge!! WOW!! It has been SO LONG since I got to play along and I hope this is just the first of MANY!! I played along with CAS-ual Fridays!
The challenge this week is to Emboss, and I chose to use my polka dot embossing folder.
I used Core-dinations paper and sanded it. My Cupcake and circle were a free download that I have had for awhile. I used a scalloped circle cut from MTC.

This week there are LOTS of Secrets over at Lasting Memories! My Secret is that I just used strips of paper and then added the strip of ribbon between them so you can't tell that I didn't have enough of the blue paper to do what I wanted! LOL!
this will go with the layout I made a couple of weeks ago. My Granddaughter Abby being "Sweet and Cute" with her swimming goggles on! LOL!!

This week the challenge over at Lasting Memories is to Try Something New! Well, I have sanded a bit here and there on Coredinations paper, but never done ALL of it, so I sanded the peach and grey real good all over! It was a little MESSY, LOL! BUT, I do LOVE how it looks.

This is my Granddaughter, Abby, she is such a PILL!! LOL!! She was dancing around and singing with her swimming goggles on!! She was HILARIOUS!! Those are twix candy bars in her hand in the pic on the left, they were microphones until she ate them! hehe!
